An Impromptu Break, A Goal, and A Bunch of Melons April 27, 2010

For those of you wondering where your weekly does of Win What’s in Craig Reid’s Left Pocket episodes went…well…there aren’t any. Unfortunately, we’ve been forced to take another temporary hiatus, but new episodes will be back soon! Maybe as soon as May 4th….

But in other news, the show is going to try and enter the podcast market (wait, it isn’t there already?). I’m not sure when, but episodes of Win What’s in Craig Reid’s Left Pocket will soon be available for download to your iTunes player or maybe your iPod of choice! Stay tuned for further details….

Also, the show is going to try to go after some more local celebrities, but the big goal for the spring would be to attempt to get Conan O’Brien on an episode. As you may or may not know, Mr. O’Brien is currently on a nationwide comedy tour and his troupe will be swinging by the NYC area on June 2nd. The trick would be to record the episode before the big event (or maybe after?), but we won’t know what’ll happen until it happens…right?

Question is, how do you go about getting Conan O’Brien to do an Internet game show? It’s not like he needs the extra money of burgers from Burger Burger…

It’s another exciting episode of “Win What’s in Craig Reid’s Left Pocket”!!
Today’s contestant is Anthony, and we caught him while he was doing his job on the streets of Brooklyn – he’s a dog walker!

And for doing this great job, he gets to play a hidden gem of this webseries called “Match Craig Reid”. It’s a very simple one today, but will Anthony be on the same wavelength as Craig? Or will his mind just go to the dogs on this one?

Maybe you can think up of the same thing Craig is. But the only way to find out for sure is by catching this episode of “Win What’s in Craig Reid’s Left Pocket”!!

In an update to an earlier post, Win What’s in Craig Reid’s Left Pocket now has a sponsor!!
Burger Burger located in New York, NY, is now sponsoring the show. Which means that contestants can now walk away with (actual) prizes if they win!!

Still though, I’m working on the money part…

Coming Out… April 14, 2010

I’ve never told this to an audience before.
People close to the show know this. And probably some of the contestants…
But you don’t win any actual money on Win What’s in Craig Reid’s Left Pocket…

I know, that sounds like a big let down…but things can change soon.
I’m currently in talks with a local burger restaurant (Burger Burger, located on 77 Pearl Street in New York, NY) for possible sponsorship of this Internet game show.

If they agree, Win What’s in Craig Reid’s Left Pocket will actually have something worthwhile to play for.
But so is the possibility of winning up to $100…

We Got Pat! April 12, 2010

Not Pat Sajak, though he did say that he’d like to do an episode of the show some day. Then again, I wonder if he would be contractually prohibited from appearing on an Internet game show?

But before Craig got to meet Mr. Sajak, a different Pat appeared on the show. Locally famous in the New York City area for his anchoring skills on NY1 (news channel), and nationally famous (probably) for hosting The World Series of Pop Culture on VH1, Pat Kiernan was more than happy to play Win What’s in Craig Reid’s Left Pocket

But I still think that this question about “Pokemon” threw him for a loop…

The Fame Isn’t Going To My Head…

No new episode of Win What’s in Craig Reid’s Left Pocket tomorrow. This whole Wheel of Fortune thing has been really, really exciting, and distracting from actually uploading the footage from the tapes, and editing them for Internet distribution.

But I do guarantee that I’ll be back from this “spring break” state of mind, and a new episode will hit the Interwebs at some point on Friday, April 16th.

And maybe you too could win what’s in Craig Reid’s left pocket! How?

How Did This All Start? April 11, 2010

Obviously, I’m a fan of game shows.
And if you saw the April 9, 2010 episode of Wheel of Fortune, you’re probably wondering what is that game show that Craig Reid mentioned in his contestant interview?

Well, the name of the show is called Win What’s in Craig Reid’s Left Pocket – a man on the street game show where unsuspecting contestants could win the money that’s in Craig Reid’s left pocket. Simple premise really, but I needed to find out wether or not this idea would work.

A pilot needed to be shot. And since I was afraid of randomly going up to a stranger to be the very first contestant, I did it in a situation that I was most comfortable with – at Ithaca College – with people I’m most comfortable with…

Interesting though that this game wouldn’t make a return to the rotation until episode 17 of the series…

Wheel of Fortune! April 10, 2010

Getting away from Win What’s in Craig Reid’s Left Pocket for a post, here’s something that happened yesterday!
Our fantastic host, Craig Reid, was a contestant on last night’s episode of Wheel Of Fortune. While the episode isn’t currently available to view online, but I can tell you that he was a nervous wreck. Or a really excitable contestant!

He wound up winning with the letter W a nice sum of over $17,000! And hopefully, some of that money will go into his left pocket for people to win on future episodes of the show.

Spring Break! April 5, 2010

Hello fans of Win What’s in Craig Reid’s Left Pocket!
To try and avoid over-exhaustion, the show is taking a little Spring Break!
But don’t worry, we’ll only be gone for a week. Episode 18 of this show will be up on April 13th!
